Mïam Charitable Trust is a Government-of-India-registered NGO (80G, 12A, NITI Aayog) founded in 2021 by social entrepreneur and award-winning producer Nitu Joshi. The trust runs grassroots programmes across Nashik, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, and Mumbai — including free career academies for tribal youth, Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary plantation drives, animal welfare and snake-rescue workshops, and women's-empowerment initiatives. MIAM is anchored in three timeless Indian values: Manvta (humanity), Sanskruti (cultural heritage), and Sanskar (values). Recipient of the Best Social Worker Award by Mid-Day (2023), MIAM partners with corporates like Surjagad Ispat Pvt. Ltd. and has been backed by 30+ corporate donors and Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.

format_quote Long (full paragraph)

Mïam Charitable Trust is a Government-of-India-registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), recognised under Section 80G (URN AAITM1924DF20231), Section 12A (URN AAITM1924DE20221), and the NITI Aayog (UID MH/2024/0417254). Founded in 2021 by Nitu Joshi — a Business and Social Entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience and Director of the Ebina Group — MIAM operates on the philosophy of "Manvta, Sanskruti, Sanskar" (humanity, cultural heritage, values). The trust operates pan-India across five focus areas — education, environment, animal welfare, women's empowerment, and medical care — with deepest direct on-ground presence in Nashik, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, and Mumbai, and partner-led drives in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Meerut, and Tripura. Flagship initiatives include the MIAM Career Academies in Waghera and Chintalpeth (free coaching for police, defence, and government recruitment exams); Library Academies in Lahvit and Donwade staffed by qualified women; the "हर आंगन में एक फलदार पेड़" fruit-tree campaign in Vadalapeth village; the Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary plantation drive (400+ trees); the women-led RUHI Caters livelihood programme; and the eight-pillar animal-welfare model in partnership with the Forest Department and Tadoba Wildlife Centre. MIAM's primary CSR partner is Surjagad Ispat Pvt. Ltd., supported by 30+ corporate donors including Rosy Blue, GJEPC India, and Savitribai Phule Shikshan Sanstha. The trust has received donations from Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and has been honoured with the Best Social Worker Award by Mid-Day (2023, New Delhi), the 16th All India Newsmakers Achievers Award (2024, Mumbai), and a Best Indian Documentary award at the CineDreams International Film Festival 2024 for the Jio Cinema docu-drama "Dharamrao Baba Atram, Dilon Ka Raja".
